Melinda Hird is a Sydney based photographer located at Acacia Gardens. Melinda and her professional team, specialises in wedding, engagement, trash the dress, family and portrait photography. Melinda prefers to photograph outdoors in natural light, on a beautiful location of your choice, mainly because the photographs remain timeless. However, if requested Melinda is also able to provide a studio photography session. This is particularly best suited to families with a newborn and smaller children, or when the weather is not right.
It's important to remember that at the end of the day when you choose to have your photography done, you're not just getting a handful of photographs, youâ??re making an investment of a lifetime, which will also be something tangible and shared amongst your family and many generations to come afterwards.
Understanding the importance of this, Melinda works hard to get those beautiful, artistic photographs you will love and be happy with, whilst providing you with the professional experience you deserve to have.
Melinda puts in the time with you to get to know you and know what you want in a fun and relaxed way whilst offering some professional direction at the same time to make sure you are comfortable in front of the camera, so you get a more natural looking results you can be proud of.
With family and portrait photography there are no set packages or pressure to buy any photographs. The photography session is $120 (excluding public holidays). For weddings we offer affordable and flexible packages to suit your needs. Included is an engagement shoot and you also have the option to do a Trash The Dress shoot which is an exciting and fresh idea to get more wear out of your wedding dress! As all weddings have different needs, itâ??s best you make and appointment with Melinda to go over your wedding details and to view more of her work and packages.

When I made enquiries, Melinda went out of her way to make us feel that our requests were valued and carefully listened to.

We had a fantastic day. Melinda made sure that we were relaxed and knew how to get the best out of our photos for our special day. She took the time to view the church and reception venue in order to see how she could show us off on the day. Melinda was tirelessly patient in taking photos that got the best out of all of us, from the guests at the wedding to the 14 month old flower girl, who was extremely excited.
Our day was such a personal one that seemed to fly by. Melinda and Matt helped us to reminisce on so many special memories by providing us with photos that captured the essence of our day, the mood, colours and setting were perfect and we are very grateful to Melinda and Matt. I would readily recommend them to anyone who is looking for a personal service of extremely high standards. I cant thank them enough!

Very friendly and approachable woman who has so much energy and the guests loved her. We got married on Sydney's hottest day on record but that didn't stop Melinda from shooting for 12 hours and we didn't hear a complaint from her all day.
The quality of her photos are so natural and beautiful. And her wedding packages are very reasonably priced.
We have several friends booking weddings and baby shoots through Melinda now as they are all blown away by her work.
Thank you Melinda for capturing the most beautiful photos of our special day. We will be coming to you for baby shoots, family portraits and any other photo occasions! -

Her passion for romance and love oozes out of her pores. And her caring but encouraging manner helps you to relax in front of the camera.
Laughing that she's just been bitten but refusing to lose time getting our family wedding shots, Mel's dedication is unmatched. Turns out she was standing in a bull ants nest!
I was considering begging her to become my baby's nanny after seeing the way she melted into Mel's arms. She can only be described as a natural - born to capture every beautiful moment in her sight.
Seemingly everywhere at once, I can say that you will get more than you expect with Mel.
